You Are Born of God. Nothing Can Stop You

Have you ever woken up feeling ordinary, overlooked, or powerless? Today's message is a powerful reminder that you are anything but ordinary. You are born of God, created in His image and likeness, and nothing the enemy whispers about you changes that truth. Let that sink in as you read further, because what God says about you is the only identity that matters.
The Enemy's Oldest Lie
From the very beginning, the enemy has been running the same playbook. He used it in the Garden of Eden, and he is still using it today. His strategy has two simple steps: first, he tells you a lie, and then he works hard to make you believe it.
In the Garden of Eden, the enemy came to Adam and Eve and told them that God was hiding something good from them. He suggested that they were not already in the image and likeness of God, that they needed to eat the fruit to become like God. But here is the stunning truth: they were already made in God's image before that conversation ever happened. God had already created them as reflections of Himself, made to rule and have dominion over the earth.
The lie was not just about fruit. It was about identity. And when they believed the lie, everything changed.
"For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil." Genesis 3:5
The enemy does the same thing to you today. He tells you that you are a sinner beyond grace, that healing is not your inheritance, that God is hiding His goodness from you. He says you are a failure, that you are stuck, that you are a waste of time. But God's first question to Adam after the fall was not "Did you eat the fruit?" It was, "Who told you that you were naked?" In other words, who told you that you were less than what I made you to be?
"Who told you that you were naked?" Genesis 3:11
That same question echoes for you today. Who told you that you cannot be healed? Who told you that you cannot break through? Who told you that you are not holy, that you are not a person of God?
The enemy's lies only have power when you choose to believe them over what God says.
There Is No Condemnation For You
Once the enemy convinces someone to fall, his very next move is accusation. He first leads people into sin, then turns around and condemns them for it. He is, as scripture calls him, the accuser. But here is the good news that changes everything:
"Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus." Romans 8:1
Every wave of condemnation the enemy brings into your life, you can boldly push back and declare: there is no condemnation in my life. There is no condemnation in my family. I am in Christ, I believe He rose from the dead for me, and He has already crushed the head of the enemy. The poison of the snake is in its head, and Jesus has crushed it completely. That victory is yours today.
"The accuser of our brothers and sisters, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down." Revelation 12:10
Right Believing Produces Right Living
Here is a truth that will transform how you think about yourself: what you believe about your identity directly shapes how you live your life. The problem in the Garden of Eden was not really the fruit. It was wrong belief. Adam and Eve stopped believing what God had already said about them and chose to believe the enemy's version instead.
The same principle applies to you. If you believe you are still just a sinner, you will live like one. But if you believe that you are made righteous by the blood of Jesus, you will begin to walk in righteousness. Right believing produces right living.
"As he is, so also are we in this world." 1 John 4:17
You are not just a human being trying to get through life. You are born of God. Think about it this way: if something is born of a lion, it is a lion. If something is born of a cat, it is a cat. If you are born of God, then what does that make you? You carry the nature, the image, and the likeness of your Father.
What you believe about yourself is either an open door for God's power or an open door for the enemy's lies.
You Are Created Little Lower Than Elohim
When God sent Moses to confront Pharaoh, one of the first things He said to him was remarkable:
"Then the Lord said to Moses, See, I have made you like God to Pharaoh, and your brother Aaron will be your prophet." Exodus 7:1
God did not say, "Good luck, Moses." He said, "I have made you like God to Pharaoh." Before Moses ever walked through that palace door, God was reminding him of his identity. Whatever situation you are facing today, whatever Pharaoh stands before you, God is speaking the same word over you: I have made you lord over that situation.
This connects beautifully to what the Psalms declare about humanity:
"Yet what honor you have given to men, created only a little lower than Elohim, crowned with glory and magnificence. You have delegated to them rulership over all you have made, with everything under their authority, placing earth itself under the feet of your image-bearers." Psalm 8:6 (TPT)
Now when you look at the root meaning in the original language, as seen in translations like The Passion Translation, it is not that you are made a little lower than angels. Angels are ministering spirits created to serve you. You are made a little lower than Elohim, a little lower than God Himself. There is no created being between you and God in terms of dignity and design. You are the crown of creation, made in His image, crowned with His glory and magnificence.
Even Jesus confirmed this when the religious leaders accused Him of claiming to be God:
"The Jews answered him, We are not stoning you for any good work, they replied, but for blasphemy, because you, a mere man, claim to be God. Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your Law, I have said you are gods? If he called them gods, to whom the word of God came, and Scripture cannot be set aside." John 10:33, 34, 35
Jesus pointed right back to scripture and said the Word of God has already called you gods with a small G. You are not above God, but you are made in His image, born of Him, representing Him on this earth, and given full authority to rule in His name.
You are not an ordinary person. You are possessed by the Holy Spirit and created to carry God's authority in this world.
Declare Your Identity Out Loud
This is not the time for quiet, timid agreement. This truth needs to come out of your mouth and into your atmosphere. Place your hand on your heart and declare it:
I am born of God. If I am born of God, nothing is broken beyond repair. If I am born of God, no weapon formed against my family can prosper. If I am born of God, all things are possible. The Red Sea has to make way. Healing is my inheritance. The enemy has no place in my life. I am free from bondage. I have dominion over every Pharaoh in my life. Whatever I touch will prosper because I am born of God.
"For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith." 1 John 5:4
Your organs, your health, your family, your calling, and your future all come under the authority of who you truly are. Because you are born of God, cancer cells must die. Because you are born of God, anxiety has no grip on you. Because you are born of God, your family is blessed and your generation will serve the Lord. Supernatural is your natural.
Conclusion
The enemy has been telling the same lie since the beginning: you are not really made in God's image, you do not truly belong to Him, you are not worthy of His goodness. But from Genesis to Revelation, from the Garden of Eden to the halls of Pharaoh's palace, God has been saying the same thing right back: you are born of Me, you are made in My image, I have crowned you with glory, and I have given you dominion over this earth.
You were born to win. You were born to rule. You were born to bring heaven's authority to every situation you step into. That is not pride, it is truth straight from the Word of God. So every morning when you wake up, let this be your first declaration: I am born of God, and today I will walk like it.

What lies has the enemy been whispering about your identity, and how does what God says about you in His Word directly contradict those lies?
In what area of your life do you need to remind yourself that God has made you lord over that situation, just as He told Moses before he faced Pharaoh?
Prayer
Father, I thank You that I am born of God. I declare that I am made in Your image and likeness, crowned with Your glory and honor, and given dominion over everything that tries to stand against me. I receive my healing, my breakthrough, and my freedom right now by faith. Every lie the enemy has spoken over my identity is cancelled. I walk in the authority You have given me. I am not condemned. I am not ordinary. I am Yours, and I carry Your nature in this world. In Jesus Name, Amen.
