Every Problem Melts in God's Presence
October 03, 2026
There is something powerful that happens the moment you step into the presence of God. Mountains begin to shift. Problems begin to lose their grip. And what once seemed impossible starts to look very different. Today, let this truth settle deep in your heart: you do not have to carry the weight of your problems alone. God is with you, and in His presence, everything changes.
The God That Cannot Be Compared
Let's open with a fascinating moment from Scripture. When the Philistines gathered to celebrate before their idol Dagon, they believed they had won. They had captured Samson, their greatest enemy, and they were throwing a great party in honor of their god. They felt victorious. They felt unstoppable.
"Now the Philistine lords gathered together to offer a great sacrifice to Dagon their god and to celebrate, for they said, 'Our god has given Samson our enemy into our hands.'" Judges 16:23
But here is what the enemy always forgets: a man-made idol has no real power. The Philistines trusted deeply in Dagon, a god crafted by human hands. Yet Scripture gives us a clear picture of just how powerless that idol truly was. When the Ark of the Covenant, the very symbol of God's presence, was placed inside Dagon's temple, something extraordinary happened.
"But when they got up early the next morning, behold, Dagon had again fallen on his face on the ground before the ark of the Lord, and his head and both palms of his hands were lying cut off on the threshold. Only the trunk portion of the idol of Dagon was left on him." 1 Samuel 5:4
Dagon fell. The idol bowed. Everything has to bow before the presence of God. Every problem you can see, every situation you cannot yet see, every lie and deception of the enemy, every wave of anxiety or depression that has been pressing against you, every challenge that feels too heavy to carry, it all has to fall at the name of Jesus Christ.
Mountains Melt Like Wax
This is not just a historical moment. This is a living truth for your life today. When you bring yourself into God's presence, something starts happening on the other side of your circumstances. The mountains begin to melt.
"The mountains melted like wax at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth." Psalm 97:5
Think about a candle. Before you light it, the wax looks solid, firm, and immovable. But the moment you hold fire to it, it begins to melt. The same thing happens in the presence of God. When you put Him first, when you speak His word, when you meditate on the finished work of Jesus, when you worship and thank Him, His presence acts like fire against every obstacle you face.
In the presence of God, your problem does not grow. It melts.
Sickness melts. Financial pressure melts. Anxiety melts. Fear melts. The form and shape of whatever the enemy has built against you begins to dissolve under the heat of God's glorious presence. You do not need to focus on the size of the problem. You do not need to examine it under a microscope, because the moment you do, you make it appear bigger than it really is. A microscope takes a tiny object and magnifies it until it looks enormous. That is exactly what worry does. It magnifies your problem until it feels larger than God Himself.
But remove your eyes from the microscope and look through the lens of God's anointing, and everything changes. His view transforms everything.
You Are Not Just an Ordinary Person
It is worth pausing here to remind yourself of who you really are. You are not a helpless bystander in the middle of your challenges. You are born of God. You carry the anointing of Jesus. Every scheme the enemy sets against you has to fall under your feet because you are connected to the most powerful God in the universe.
You are not an ordinary person. You are an extraordinary person because you are born of God.
When you walk in that identity, when you truly believe that God is on your side, the report of the doctor, the interest rate, the words of your boss, the opinions of others, none of these things have the final say. God's word does. And His word never returns empty.
The presence you are stepping into right now is not passive. It is active, alive, and working on your behalf. While you are in His presence, while you are putting God first, something is happening on the other side. The work of the enemy is being weakened, destroyed, and dissolved. His territory is melting. His hold on your situation is losing its strength.
Conclusion
Today, wherever you are, whatever you are facing, know this: the same God who caused Dagon to fall on his face, the same God whose presence causes mountains to melt like wax, is the God who is with you right now. You do not need to carry your burdens alone. You do not need to analyze your problems to exhaustion. All you need to do is step into His presence and let the fire of God do what only He can do. In His presence, transformation happens. In His presence, problems dissolve. In His presence, you are not defeated. You are more than a conqueror.
Reflect on This
Are there any problems in your life right now that you have been examining under a microscope, making them feel larger than God's ability to solve them?
How can you practically choose to focus on God's presence today rather than the size of your challenges?
Prayer
Father, I thank You that Your presence changes everything. I declare that every mountain I face today is already melting in Your presence. Every scheme of the enemy has already fallen before You, just as Dagon fell before the Ark. I am not ordinary. I am born of You, filled with Your anointing, and empowered by Your Spirit. I choose today to take my eyes off the microscope of worry and fix them on Your living word. Your presence is my victory, and I walk in that victory right now. In Jesus Name, Amen.
