Today, let's explore a powerful truth that can transform how you approach challenges and unlock miracles in your life. You are called for a great purpose, not just to live, but to save, redeem, and restore many people. Your age is just a number, and there are no excuses because God has chosen you and your family for something extraordinary.
Representing God in This World
We are ambassadors of God in this world, here to establish His kingdom. We are called to be the light in this darkness, the salt that flavors and preserves. You are a shaker, a change maker, the one who is going to turn the world upside down. That's the testimony we want to receive. Don't ever quit. God has a great purpose not just for you, but for your family, your children, and your generation.
The Miracle of the Five Loaves
In John chapter 6, we encounter a familiar story that reveals a profound truth about how miracles happen. When faced with feeding over 5,000 people, Jesus didn't panic. Before the miracle even occurred, He told everyone to sit down and prepare to receive.
"Jesus then took the loaves, and when he had given thanks, he distributed them to those who were seated. So also the fish, as much as they wanted." - John 6:11
The miracle happened when Jesus gave thanks for what He already had. This is the key: being thankful to God for what you have. You always have at least one thing to be thankful for. We can all agree on that.
The Power of Thanksgiving
Think about Joseph's life. Even when his brothers mistreated him, sold him into slavery, and he was falsely accused and imprisoned, he never complained. The Bible says God was always with Joseph because Joseph remained thankful. He knew that when God gives His word, it will surely manifest.
When Jesus gave thanks, the food miraculously multiplied, and everyone ate as much as they wanted. Notice the contrast: when the devil tempted Jesus in the wilderness to turn stones into bread to satisfy His own hunger, Jesus refused. But here, Jesus multiplied bread to satisfy the hunger of others.
"Your miracle is not going to happen just because you're praying. The miracle is going to happen just by thanksgiving."
God's Abundant Provision
Philip hoped to give each person just a little to eat, but Jesus' plan was never about scarcity. It was about abundance. Everyone ate as much as they wanted. When God blesses you, it's never a small, stingy thing. He blesses you abundantly so that you can be a blessing channel to the world.
Remember God's promise to Abraham in Genesis
"I will make you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing." Genesis 12:2-3
God blesses you so that you will be a blessing to many.
Nothing Will Be Wasted
After everyone had eaten their fill, Jesus told His disciples to gather the leftover fragments so that nothing would be lost. They filled twelve baskets with leftovers. Twelve baskets from five loaves and two fish! The disciples who had doubted now each had a basket to remember the miracle.
When God is your source, nothing will be wasted in your life. Your time will not be wasted. Your resources will not be wasted. Even things you thought were lost will be redeemed. God can do anything you can't even imagine in your wildest dreams. He can change things overnight.
The God Who Creates from Nothing
Romans 4 reminds us that God can create things that don't exist and raise dead things to life.
"The God who gives life to the dead and calls into being things that were not." Romans 4:17
The entire universe is the greatest example of how something can come from nothing. If that can happen, the same principle applies to your life. You can call out the things that don't exist. You can call out that job, that healing, that provision, that breakthrough.
Roll Away the Stone
When Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead, He first had them roll away the stone, and then He prayed. His prayer was simple:
"Father, I thank you that you have heard me. I knew that you always hear me." John 11:41
Most religious thinking says to pray first and then hope something happens. But Jesus demonstrated faith in action by having the stone rolled away before He prayed. You need to roll away the stone in your life. It could be your unbelief, your fear, your past failures, or your inferiority complex. Roll away all that negativity and thank God.
Conclusion
Let thanksgiving be your lifestyle. Before the fall, Adam didn't have anything to pray for except to fellowship with God and thank Him for His creation and provision. Prayer is not just about requesting and asking; it's about two-way communication, giving glory, and thanking God. Change the way you pray. Roll away everything stopping your miracle, and boldly declare that God is always with you, always hears you, and always works for you.
Reflect on This
What stones do you need to roll away in your life to make room for God's miracles?
How can you shift from a prayer life focused on requests to one centered on thanksgiving and fellowship with God?
Prayer
Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your Word and the truth that sets me free. I roll away every fear, failure, and doubt that has been stopping my miracle. I declare that You always hear me, and I know You are working everything for my good. Just as You multiplied the loaves and fish, I call out abundance, healing, and breakthrough in my life. I am Your blessing channel, and in Your presence, nothing is wasted. I thank You that You supply more than I can imagine. In Jesus' name, Amen.
