When you see evidence of God's goodness, your spirit will be revived and hope restored

Welcome to a beautiful new month filled with God's promises and possibilities. Today, we're diving into a powerful truth that will transform how you see your current circumstances. No matter what challenges you're facing, no matter how impossible your situation may seem, there's hope waiting to be discovered. Let's explore together how God sees your story differently than you might see it right now.

The Unbelievable News

In Genesis 45:26, we find Jacob receiving news that seemed too good to be true:

"Joseph is still alive and he is ruler over all the land of Egypt." - Genesis 45:26

Jacob's heart became numb because he couldn't believe what he was hearing. Sometimes God's plans for our lives are so magnificent that when others hear about them, they can barely believe it's possible. The transformation from pit to palace, from prisoner to ruler, seems impossible to the natural mind.

There are seasons coming when God will lift you so dramatically that people will wonder how such a thing could even be possible. Your testimony will be so powerful that others will struggle to comprehend the journey from your current challenges to your destined victory.

When Jesus Sees Differently

Just as Jacob couldn't initially believe the news about Joseph, people often misunderstand what God is doing in difficult situations. In Luke 8, we see this principle beautifully illustrated when Jesus encountered a father whose daughter had died:

"While he was still speaking, someone from the ruler's house came and said, 'Your daughter is dead. Do not trouble the teacher anymore.' But Jesus on hearing this answered him, 'Do not fear; only believe, and she will be well.'" - Luke 8:49-50

Where others saw death, Jesus saw sleep. Where others saw the end, Jesus saw a new beginning. This is how our Savior views your current situation. What appears finished to others is simply waiting for His touch of resurrection power.

"Do not fear; only believe, and she will be well."

The God Who Heals All

Jesus didn't come to help just a select few. Acts 10 reveals the scope of His mission:

"How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him." - Acts 10:38

Notice the word "all." Jesus healed everyone who came to Him. He delivered all who were oppressed. He never turned anyone away or said He didn't have time for them. Our God never leaves anyone behind. He looks after everyone and redeems every situation that's surrendered to Him.

The Spirit Revived

When Jacob finally heard all the details of Joseph's story and saw the wagons Joseph had sent, something powerful happened:

"When he saw the wagons that Joseph had sent to carry him, the spirit of their father Jacob revived." - Genesis 45:27

Jacob's spirit came alive again. Hope was restored. Faith was renewed. This is what happens when we truly grasp what God has been doing behind the scenes in our lives. When we see the evidence of His goodness and provision, our spirits revive.

Nothing Is Dead in God's Kingdom

Jacob's declaration in Genesis 45 becomes our declaration today:

"It is enough! Joseph my son is still alive. I will go and see him before I die." - Genesis 45:28

Your Joseph is still alive. Your dreams, your promises, your breakthrough, your healing, your restoration - none of it is dead. What you're facing isn't the end of your story; it's just sleeping, waiting for God's perfect timing to awaken.

Jesus never puts an end card on any situation. Death cannot hold Him. Challenges cannot contain Him. Whatever you're waiting for, whatever you're believing for, don't give up. Your situation isn't dead; it's simply in sleep mode, ready to be awakened by the Master's voice.

Conclusion

As we step into this new month, let your heart not be troubled. Nothing in your life is truly dead when it's in God's hands. Just as Joseph was not only alive but ruling over all Egypt, God has plans to not just restore what you've lost, but to elevate you beyond what you could imagine. This is your month of revival, your season of awakening, your time to see the impossible become possible.

Reflect on This

  1. What areas of your life have you given up on that God might be calling back to life?

  2. How can you shift your perspective to see your challenges through God's eyes rather than through circumstances?

Prayer

Heavenly Father, I thank You that nothing is dead in Your kingdom. I declare that my Joseph is still alive, and You are working all things together for my good. I speak life over every situation that seems hopeless, every dream that appears dead, every promise that feels delayed. Arise and shine, let Your glory be revealed in my circumstances. This is my month of revival, restoration, and breakthrough. In Jesus' name, Amen.
