Pregnant woman rests on a couch with baby shoes on her belly. She appears relaxed in a cozy living room with warm lighting and a plant nearby.
Like Sarah, you must personally embrace God's promises to receive power to conceive.

In our spiritual journey, what we desire deeply matters. Your thoughts, your imagination, and your desires aren't just passing fancies, they're powerful forces that shape your reality. Today, let's explore how our desires connect with God's promises and unlock the power to conceive the impossible.

The Power of Your Desires

Everything in life doesn't simply happen automatically. Your desires play a crucial role in what manifests in your life. Consider salvation, it's available to everyone, but only those who desire to accept Jesus are saved. Your desires matter tremendously in your spiritual walk.

Your desires give power to conceive, power to open heavens, power to heal, and power to prosper.

In Genesis 18, we find a powerful story that illustrates this truth. When God appeared to Abraham and Sarah with the promise of a child, Sarah laughed. Looking at her aged body, she thought,

"After I am worn out and my lord is old, will I now have this pleasure?" (Genesis 18:12)

Her initial response was doubt. She looked at her physical limitations rather than God's unlimited power. But God challenged her thinking with a profound question: "Is anything too hard for the Lord?"

Faith That Conceives

Hebrews reveals the transformation in Sarah's heart:

"By faith even Sarah, who was past childbearing age, was enabled to bear children because she considered him faithful who had made the promise." - Heberews 11:11

Notice the wording, Sarah herself received power to conceive. It wasn't just about Abraham's faith; Sarah had to personally embrace God's promise. She had to shift her focus from what seemed impossible to the faithfulness of the One who promised.

By faith, I have power to conceive the impossible. I have power to heal, to live in joy, to prosper.

When Sarah understood that nothing is too hard for the Lord and allowed herself to desire what God promised, she received the power to conceive. Even though she was well past childbearing age, her faith opened the door to the impossible.

Considering God Faithful

What made the difference for Sarah? The scripture tells us: "She considered him faithful who had promised."

Sarah stopped looking at her limitations. She stopped focusing on Abraham's age. She stopped listening to worldly opinions that said, "It's too late." Instead, she fixed her gaze on God's faithfulness.

When you consider God faithful, you stop comparing Him to human limitations.

Unlike humans who may desire to help but lack the capacity, God never promises what He cannot deliver. If God has promised something, He is faithful to do it. All His promises are "Yes" and "Amen" in Christ Jesus.

Your Power to Conceive

Whatever situation you're facing today, know that you have the power to conceive the impossible. The enemy may whisper, "It's too late" or "It can't happen at your age," but those are lies to be rejected.

Your faith and desires give you power, power that doesn't operate according to worldly patterns but according to God's model. You can change situations, release peace, healing, blessing, and prosperity in Jesus' name.

I have power to conquer, to heal, to prophesy, to bring new anointing, to lay hands upon the sick.

Conclusion

Sarah's story teaches us that our desires, when aligned with God's promises, unlock miraculous power. Her doubt turned to faith when she considered God faithful rather than focusing on limitations. Today, embrace this truth: you have power to conceive the impossible because the One who promised is faithful. Your circumstances don't determine your outcome your faith does. Stand firm, desire what God has promised, and watch as He brings it to pass in His perfect timing.

Reflect on This

  1. What impossible situation are you facing that requires you to shift your focus from limitations to God's faithfulness?

  2. How can you nurture godly desires that align with His promises for your life?

Prayer

Father, I thank You for the desires You've placed in my heart. I declare that I have received Your power to conceive the impossible. I am not empty but full of You. You live in me, and You've equipped me with all Your power. I reject every limitation and embrace Your promises. I consider You faithful, knowing that nothing is too hard for You. Whatever the enemy has meant for my harm, You are turning for my good. I stand in faith, ready to conceive the miracles You have prepared for me. In Jesus' name, Amen.
