Alone in the Ocean, Yet Never Alone

July 10, 2026

There is something remarkable waiting for you today. Not tomorrow, not next season, but right now, in this very moment, God is moving on your behalf. His word is alive, and it carries the power to transform every dry, broken, and weary place in your life into a place of abundance and flourishing. If you have been waiting for a shift, if you have been hoping for a change, today's meditation is for you.
The River That Brings Sudden Change
God's word is not just information. It is activation. When you speak it, declare it, and confess it over your life and your circumstances, something supernatural begins to happen. Think of it like a river, swift, powerful, and unstoppable. This river of God's presence brings rapid, instant change. It does not move slowly or reluctantly. It rushes in and shifts everything in its path.
This is the heart of what we are exploring today. As you begin to say what you want to see rather than what you currently see, as you declare God's word over your situation, as you speak the covenant you have with God to your mountains and your giants, you are activating something mighty in the spirit realm. The shift is not just possible. It is promised.
Your Heart Will Leap and Your Body Will Flourish
Look at what God declares over your life in Isaiah 66
"When you see this, your heart will rejoice and you will flourish like grass; the hand of the Lord will be made known to his servants, but his fury will be shown to his enemies." Isaiah 66:14
Did you catch that? Your heart will rejoice. Your bones will flourish like grass. Every single organ in your body will be strengthened. This is not wishful thinking. This is the living word of God spoken directly over your situation. There is no more season of dry bones. There is no more season of brokenness. The word of God says you will flourish, and what God says cannot return to Him void.
The Passion Translation of this same verse says it even more vividly.
"When you feast your eyes on this, your heart will leap for joy and be revived. Your body will flourish and sprout like grass." Isaiah 66:14
Every single organ in your body will flourish in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
"So shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it." Isaiah 55:11
Right now, you can declare over your body, over every organ, over every place where sickness or pain has tried to take root, that it cannot stay. It cannot remain. Anything that does not reflect the image of God in your body must go. Cancer cannot flourish where God's word is declared. Infection cannot hold its ground when the river of God flows through you. You will flourish and sprout like grass in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
God's fury will be turned against everything that operates against His plan for your life.
The Teenager Who Trusted God in the Deep
There is a story that beautifully illustrates what it looks like to hold onto God when everything around you looks impossible. A 13-year-old Australian teenager named Austin Applebee was on a family kayaking trip in what were supposed to be calm backwaters near Perth. Without warning, waves came, the kayak took on water, and the entire family was swept 4 kilometers out into the open ocean.
With no way to call for help and the water growing cold, Austin's mother made a heartbreaking decision. She sent her son to swim to the shore alone, hoping he could find help and rescue the rest of the family. Austin tied a paddleboard to his leg to help him, but it did not work. He was wearing a life jacket that hindered his swimming, so he took it all off. Alone, in the deep ocean, he began to swim.
Four hours later, he reached the shore. He then ran 2 kilometers to find someone who could contact emergency services. The entire family was rescued safely.
When the media asked how he managed it, how he stayed strong and kept going for four hours in the open ocean alone, his answer was simple and profound. He said, "I don't think it was me who did it. It was God the whole time."
When you keep praising and praying in the deep, God is doing what you cannot do for yourself.
God Is With You in the Deep
You may feel like Austin right now. You may be in the middle of your own deep ocean, surrounded by circumstances that feel impossible, with no rescue in sight. But this is exactly where God speaks to you today. Do not look at the problem. Look at Him. Sing that praise song. Declare God's favor over your life. Keep praying. Keep speaking His word.
"But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." Isaiah 40:31
God wants to bring you to a place where people around you, your doctors, your colleagues, your family, look at your life and cannot explain what happened. They will ask, how did this healing happen? How did this business idea come? How is your family restored? How did your finances turn around? And you will have one answer. It was God the whole time.
Conclusion
God's word over your life is clear and it is powerful. Your heart shall rejoice. Your bones shall flourish. The mighty power of God will be revealed in your life. Because you have placed your trust not in your own ability, not in any earthly resource, but in the living, almighty God, He will show up in ways that leave the world speechless. You are not swimming alone. God is with you in every stroke, every prayer, every declaration. Keep going. The shore is closer than you think.
Reflect on This
In what area of your life do you need to stop looking at the problem and start declaring God's word with faith and confidence today?
When you think about Austin's story, what does it stir in you about your own capacity to trust God in the middle of a seemingly impossible situation?
Prayer
Father, I thank You that Your word is alive and powerful in my life right now. I declare that my heart rejoices, my bones flourish, and every organ in my body reflects Your glory and health. I trust that You are with me in every deep and difficult moment, and I believe that Your mighty power is being revealed in my life today. What seems impossible to man is possible with You, and I stand on the promise that You are doing great and mighty things that I cannot yet fully comprehend. It was You the whole time, and I give You all the glory. In Jesus Name, Amen.
