Man with Bible
You are the body of Christ, and your hands can heal, your voice can speak life, and your presence can bring hope to a hurting world.

Today, lets exercise our divine authority as believers. This isn't just about feeling good; it's about recognizing the power we have in Christ to overcome the enemy and live a life of victory. Prepare to be equipped and empowered as we delve into the scriptures, unlocking the truths that will shape your day and your life.

The Enemy's Deceptive Tactics

The enemy's strategy is insidious and relentless. He doesn't want us to succeed or fulfill our God-given potential. He aims to keep us down, to make us feel inferior, and to prevent us from rising to our full stature in Christ. He wants us to be the tail, not the head, always struggling and never leading. He desires to see us bent down, burdened by the cares of this world, never standing straight or walking boldly in our faith. His ultimate goal is to push us down in any way he can, whether through doubt, fear, sickness, or oppression.

The enemy always wants to put you in a prison, in a closed box, in a place where no one can see you. He wants to isolate you, to make you feel alone and helpless, cut off from the love and support of the body of Christ.

Freedom Declared and Received

In Luke 13, we encounter a poignant story of a woman who had endured an illness for 18 long years, an affliction caused by a spirit. She was bent double, unable to straighten up at all.

When Jesus saw her, His heart was moved with compassion. He called her forward and declared,

"When Jesus saw her, he called her forward and said to her, 'Woman, you are set free from your infirmity.'" - Luke 13:12

He didn't just offer words of comfort; He spoke a decree of liberation. Then, He laid His hands on her, and immediately she straightened up and praised God.

This is a powerful demonstration of the authority we have in Christ. Jesus didn't just heal her; He released her from the spiritual bondage that had kept her captive for so long. This story is a testament to the fact that we are released from our illnesses and bondages through the power of Jesus. We don't have to accept the limitations that the enemy tries to impose upon us. We can stand firm in our faith and declare our freedom in Christ.

Resisting the Devil and His Schemes

We have been given everything we need to overcome the enemy. We have the power, the authority, and the likeness in the image of God. We have the blood of Jesus, which speaks a better word than any accusation the enemy can bring against us. But we must actively resist the devil and his schemes.

"Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."

This is not a suggestion; it's a commandment. We must resist our sickness, resist the work of the enemy in our lives by using the Word of God as our weapon, believing in His promises, speaking words of faith, and doing the opposite of what the enemy says. When the enemy whispers lies of doubt and fear, we must counter them with the truth of God's Word. When he tries to keep us down, we must rise up in the power of the Holy Spirit and declare our victory in Christ.

Seated with Christ in Heavenly Places

We are not just ordinary people struggling to survive in a hostile world. We are raised up with Christ and seated with Him in the heavenly realms. We are not seated with our sickness or poverty, but with Jesus, far above all the powers of darkness.

"And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus." - Ephesians 2:6

This is our true position, our spiritual reality. Whatever is under the feet of Jesus is under our feet. The enemy is under our feet. We have been given dominion over him and all his works. We must recognize our authority and exercise it boldly.

Access to the Father Through the Spirit

Through Jesus, we have access in one Spirit to the Father. We are no longer foreigners or strangers but fellow citizens with God's people and members of His household.

"For through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit." - Ephesians 2:18

We are built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus Himself as the chief cornerstone. We are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit. We are connected to the very source of life, power, and love. We are not alone; we are part of a divine family, united in Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit.

The Body of Christ in Action

Jesus is the head, and we are the body. We are His hands, His feet, His voice in this world. Our hands can heal. We can put our hands on someone and declare and decree healing because we release the power of Heaven.

"Then He laid His hands on her, and immediately she was made straight, and she glorified God." - Luke 13:13

We, too, can lay our hands on the sick and see them recover. We can speak words of life and see them transform lives. We can be the very presence of Jesus in this world, bringing hope, healing, and deliverance to those who are in need.

Conclusion

Today, embrace your identity as a child of God, seated with Christ in heavenly places. Recognize the authority you have been given and exercise it boldly. Resist the enemy, speak the Word of God, and release the power of Heaven in your life and the lives of others. Walk in divine authority, knowing that you are more than a conqueror through Christ who loves you.

Reflect on This

  1. In what specific areas of your life do you need to exercise greater authority and dominion?

  2. How can you become more intentional about speaking the Word of God and releasing the power of Heaven in your daily interactions?

Prayer

Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your Word and for the authority You have given me through Jesus. I declare that I am seated with Christ in the heavenly realms, far above all principalities and powers. I resist the enemy and declare that he must flee from me. I release Your healing power and declare victory over every sickness, bondage, and limitation in my life. I am Your beloved child, and You are well pleased with me. I am a vessel of Your power, a channel of Your love, and an instrument of Your peace. In Jesus' name, Amen.
