No Sin Too Big, No Sickness Too Great For Him

October 06, 2026

What if the very thing you thought disqualified you from God's blessing is actually the thing that positions you to receive His greatest grace? That is not a comforting idea meant to make you feel good. It is the truth that runs straight through the heart of the gospel. And today, we are going to let that truth do its work in us.
The God Who Does Not Set Limits
There is a religious mindset that many of us have absorbed without even realizing it. It whispers that God's grace has conditions. That you must have done enough, been good enough, or stayed faithful enough to receive what He has for you. But the Word of God tells a very different story.
We saw in Scripture how the repentant thief on the cross received salvation with nothing to offer but a turning heart. And this reality does not stop at salvation. The same grace that saves you is the same power that heals you, restores you, lifts you, and carries you through every season of life.
"For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God, that is His remarkable, overwhelming gift of grace to believers, is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 6:23
The wages of sin is death. That is what we all deserved. But God did not give us what we deserved. He gave us a free gift. Grace. Unearned. Unmerited. Freely given.
The death of Jesus was enough to pay every debt you could ever owe.
This is not a small thing. When Jesus stretched out His arms on the cross, He was not making a partial payment toward your freedom. He was making a complete, final, and total payment. The cross covers everything. Every sin. Every shame. Every broken season. Every wrong turn. All of it.
When the Mockers Speak
One of the most striking things about the crucifixion scene is that even as Jesus was dying, people were mocking Him. The chief priests, the scribes, the elders, even one of the criminals beside Him, they all threw the same accusation: If you are really who you say you are, prove it.
And here is what is sobering: that same spirit of mockery has not gone away. Even today, when you step out in faith, when you believe for healing, when you declare God's promises over your life, there will be voices that say, "Look at your situation. Look at what's happening. Where is your God now?"
But you do not need to answer the mockers. Jesus did not answer them either. He simply finished the work He came to do.
Sometimes, when life becomes incredibly hard, the natural question is: "Lord, where are You?" But perhaps a better posture is one of gratitude even in the storm. Thank You that You are in the midst of this. Thank You that Your resurrection power is active. Thank You that angels surround me. Thank You that You have lifted my head. Thank You that I shall not die but declare the wonderful works of the Lord.
Gratitude in the storm is not denial. It is faith declaring what is already true.
The Same Power That Saves Also Heals
Here is something we must not miss. The grace that saved the thief on the cross, the grace described in Ephesians chapter two, this is not a grace limited only to eternal salvation. It is the same power that touches every area of your life.
"For it is by grace, God's remarkable compassion and favor drawing you to Christ, that you have been saved, actually delivered from judgment and given eternal life through faith. And this salvation is not of yourself, not through your own effort, but it is the undeserved gracious gift of God." Ephesians 2:8
The word "saved" in Scripture carries a meaning far broader than we often think. It encompasses wholeness, healing, deliverance, and restoration. The same God who reached down to a dying criminal on a cross reaches into hospital rooms, reaches into broken homes, reaches into situations where doctors have said there is nothing more they can do.
No stage of illness is too advanced for Him. No season of poverty is too deep for His provision. No broken relationship is beyond His ability to restore. No sickness is too great, no sin is too dark, and no situation is too far gone.
If that thief could be welcomed into paradise with nothing but a turning heart, how much more can you and I receive from Jesus? We who have access to His Word, who gather in His name, who carry His Spirit within us?
You Are Welcome in His Kingdom
In His kingdom, there is victory. In His kingdom, there is light. In His kingdom, there is healing and deliverance and freedom. Nothing broken, nothing dark, nothing defeated can remain the same when it comes into contact with the life of Jesus.
And the door to that kingdom is not locked behind a set of religious requirements. It swings open the moment you turn to Him, just as it did for a dying thief with nothing to his name.
This is your day of salvation. This is your moment of healing. This is your season of breakthrough. Whatever situation you are carrying into today, bring it to the One whose arms are still wide open.
No sin is greater than His forgiveness. No sickness is greater than His healing. No situation is greater than His touch.
Conclusion
The same power that raised Jesus from the dead is not a historical event locked away in the past. It is alive, active, and flowing right now into every situation that feels impossible. God is not a God who gave everything on the cross and then stepped back to watch. He is the God who left the ninety-nine to find the one. If you feel lost in your problem today, whether it is sickness, poverty, sin, or despair, He has come looking for you. This is the day of salvation, the day of healing, the day of restoration. Receive it with open hands.
Reflect on This
In what area of your life have you been waiting to feel "ready enough" or "good enough" before trusting God to move, and what would it look like to simply receive His grace right now?
How does knowing that the same power that saves you also heals and restores you change the way you approach your current circumstances?
Prayer
Father, I thank You that Your grace has no limits and Your power knows no boundary. I receive Your healing, Your restoration, and Your freedom as a gift today, not because I have earned it, but because Jesus paid the full price on the cross. I declare that no sickness, no sin, and no situation in my life is too great for You. Your resurrection power is alive and active in me right now, and I walk in the fullness of everything You have already provided. In Jesus Name, Amen.
Key Takeaways
The same grace that saves you is the same power available to heal, restore, and deliver you in every area of life.
Mocking voices and difficult circumstances do not change what God has already declared over your life through the cross.
No sin is too dark, no sickness too advanced, and no situation too far gone for the power of Jesus to reach.
Faith in Jesus, not religious effort or good works, is the only key that unlocks everything God has freely provided.
