Knowing your identity as a child of God is the foundation for speaking bold, faith-filled words over every situation.

There is something extraordinary waiting for you in God's Word today. Not a complicated religious formula, not a long list of things you must do to earn God's favor, but a simple, powerful truth about who you already are and the incredible access you have been given. If you have ever felt stuck, overlooked, or overwhelmed by your circumstances, today's reflection is going to shift something deep inside you.

You Are Called Gods

In John chapter 10, Jesus made a statement that shocked the religious leaders of His day. They accused Him of blasphemy for claiming to be the Son of God. But Jesus responded by pointing them back to their own scriptures.

"Jesus answered them, 'Is it not written in your Law, I said, you are gods?' If he called them gods to whom the word of God came, and Scripture cannot be broken..." John 10:34, 35

Jesus was making a profound point. The scripture itself declared that those who receive the word of God are called gods. Not divine beings equal to God, but sons and daughters who carry the nature, authority, and image of the Almighty. This was not blasphemy. This was truth.

And He went even further. He declared that the Father is in Him, and He is in the Father. Then, through faith in Jesus, that same reality becomes yours.

"But the one who is united and joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him." 1 Corinthians 6:17

Think about that for a moment. You are not just forgiven. You are not just saved. You are joined, mingled, connected, and united with God in one spirit. The Father is in Jesus. Jesus is in you. You are in the Father. You are woven together in an inseparable oneness with the living God.

You do not need to climb a mountain or travel across the world to reach God. He already lives in you.

So many religious systems teach people how to somehow get to God, how to earn His mercy, how to please Him from a distance. But the glorious grace of Jesus Christ says something completely different. All you need to do is accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Believe in your heart, confess with your mouth, and you become a child of God, instantly connected into that divine oneness. The right believing produces right living.

This Sickness Will Not End in Death

Now that you understand who you are, let's look at how Jesus responded to a crisis. There was a man named Lazarus from Bethany, the brother of Mary and Martha. His illness was getting worse every single day. Mary and Martha sent urgent word to Jesus, expecting fear or sorrow in His reply.

But look at how Jesus responded.

"When Jesus heard it, He said, 'This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, so that the Son of God may be glorified through it.'" John 11:4

This is remarkable. The reports coming in were devastating. Stage after stage of worsening symptoms. And yet Jesus did not react to the report. He responded to the reality He carried inside Him. Because He knew His identity. Because He understood His connection to the Father. He spoke not what He saw but what He wanted to see.

Jesus did not speak about the situation. He spoke to what He wanted to happen.

This is a prophetic word for you today. Whatever situation you are facing, whether it is sickness, financial pressure, a delayed blessing in marriage or business, a door that seems permanently shut, a barren season that seems to stretch on forever, hear this: your situation will not end in death. God is going to turn this around. What the enemy meant for your destruction, God is going to use for His glory.

Joseph said it best in Genesis 50. You planned evil against me, but God planned it for good. The same God who spoke through Joseph, who raised Lazarus, who never changes, is speaking over your life right now.

Speak to the Mountain, Not About It

Here is the principle Jesus taught and lived by. It is not enough to talk about your problem. You must talk to your problem.

"Truly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be taken up and thrown into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him." Mark 11:23

Jesus said speak to the mountain. Not about the mountain. Not a Google search on what happens to people in your situation. Not a WhatsApp group message detailing every symptom. But a direct, faith-filled declaration spoken to the obstacle itself.

And notice that in Mark 11:22, while some translations say "have faith in God," others more accurately render it as "let the faith of God be in you." This is not just about your faith in God. It is about the God-kind of faith that lives inside you, because you carry the God-kind of life.

Because you carry the God-kind of life, your words carry the God-kind of power.

When you speak over a dead situation, it must respond. When you believe what you say will happen, it will be done. This is not metaphor. This is the operating principle of the Kingdom of God.

"The desire of the righteous will be granted." Proverbs 10:24

And who are the righteous? You are. If you have accepted Jesus Christ, you are righteous. Your desires are not wishful thinking. They are granted. Your prayers are not going unanswered. They are received. You have been chosen, anointed, and ordained by God, and your desires will be granted.

Conclusion

You are not at a dead end. You are not forgotten. You are not defined by what the doctor said, by what the bank statement shows, or by how long you have been waiting. You are a child of God, united in one spirit with the Father, carrying His life, His faith, and His authority. This season is a season of manifestation. What you believe will happen. What you speak will come to pass. Declare it today. Speak to your mountain. Tell your situation it will not end in death. The glory of God is about to be revealed through your story.

Reflect on This

  1. In what areas of your life have you been speaking about your mountain instead of speaking to it, and what specific declaration of faith can you make over that situation today?

  2. How does truly understanding that you are united in one spirit with God, as stated in 1 Corinthians 6:17, change the way you approach your challenges and your identity?

Prayer

Father, I thank You that I am united with You in one spirit, and I carry Your life, Your faith, and Your authority. I declare that every dead situation in my life is turning around for Your glory right now. Every mountain blocking my path is being lifted and thrown into the sea. My desires are granted because I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. Every door I need opened is open. Every blessing I have been waiting for is being released. My situation will not end in defeat, but in the manifestation of Your glory. I believe it, I receive it, and I declare it done. In Jesus Name, Amen.
