Jesus resurrected
We are permanently united with Christ's resurrection power through our spiritual baptism.

Today, let's explore the profound truth of our spiritual position in Christ. As believers, we are not merely working toward victory, we are already seated with Christ in heavenly places. This meditation invites you to shift your perspective and embrace the resurrection power that's already within you.

From Death to Life

Our Christian journey doesn't begin with striving toward victory, it begins with victory itself. As we read in Scriptures,

"For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found." -  Luke 15:24

This powerful declaration reveals our true spiritual state.

Before knowing Christ, we were spiritually dead, disconnected from our Creator. But through Jesus, everything changed. We've been transformed from death to life, from lost to found. This isn't just poetic language, it's our spiritual reality.

Co-Seated with Christ

Christianity isn't primarily about going to heaven someday, it's about bringing heaven to earth now. You are already positioned in heavenly places, co-seated with Christ.

"And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus." - Ephesians 2:6

This heavenly position isn't something we're working toward; it's our current reality. We operate from a place of victory, not toward it. We move from victory to victory, from strength to strength, and from grace to grace.

United in Resurrection Power

When we were baptized into Christ, we were immersed into union with both His death and His resurrection.

"Have you forgotten that all of us who were immersed into union with Jesus the Anointed One were immersed into union with his death? Sharing in his death by our baptism means that we were co-buried with him so that when the Father's glory raised Christ from the dead, we were also raised with him." - Romans 6:3-4 (Passion Translation)

Like milk poured from two separate cups into one bowl that can never be separated again, we are permanently united with Christ's resurrection power. This union isn't temporary or conditional, it's complete and irreversible.

Freedom from the Old Nature

Our old self, with its sin nature, was crucified with Christ. This isn't something we're working toward; it's already accomplished.

"We know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin." - Romans 6:6

Just as a dead person cannot sin, our old nature has been rendered powerless. We may still follow old programming out of habit, like driving a car sub-conciously taking a familiar route, but we can reprogram our minds to align with our new nature in Christ.

Seeing as the Father Sees

To fully live in our resurrection power, we must focus on two essential truths:

First, we must know the Father as Jesus knew Him. Jesus said,

"No one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him" (Matthew 11:27).

Through Christ, we now have intimate access to know the Father's heart.

Second, we must see ourselves as the Father sees us. He doesn't view us through the lens of our failures or weaknesses. He sees us clothed in Christ's righteousness, filled with potential, and empowered by His Spirit.

Conclusion

Today, embrace your true identity as one who is alive in Christ, seated in heavenly places, and united with His resurrection power. You are not defined by your past, your struggles, or others' opinions of you. You are defined by your position in Christ.

As you renew your mind to these truths, you'll begin to experience the overflow of resurrection power in every area of your life. You'll move beyond anxiety, fear, and limitation into the abundant life Jesus promised. Remember: you're not working toward victory, you're working from victory.

Reflect on This

  1. In what areas of your life do you need to shift from striving for victory to operating from a place of victory?

  2. How might your prayers and daily life change if you truly saw yourself as the Father sees you?

Prayer

Father, I thank You that I am seated with Christ in heavenly places. I am alive with resurrection power flowing through me. I declare that I see myself as You see me, righteous, empowered, and full of potential. I know You as Jesus knew You, loving, compassionate, and faithful. Today, I walk in the authority and victory that is already mine in Christ. Old programming falls away as I embrace my new nature. Your resurrection power flows through me, breaking every limitation and bringing Your kingdom to earth. In Jesus' name, I declare these truths as my reality. Amen
