Lens reflects a mountainous landscape with trees and rocks. Blurred background shows earthy tones, evoking a serene, natural atmosphere.
Partial understanding of God leads to distorted views that blame Him for evil and suffering.

Today, let's explore a profound truth about who God really is. Often, we hold incomplete or distorted views of our Heavenly Father, shaped by partial understanding rather than the full revelation He has given us. Prepare to see God through the lens of Jesus Christ, the perfect representation of the Father's heart, and discover how this transforms everything.

The Parable of Incomplete Perception

There's an ancient story about four blind men who wanted to experience an elephant. Each one was brought to touch the magnificent creature, but each touched only one part. The first blind man touched the elephant's tail and declared, "An elephant is like a large rope." The second touched its belly and said, "No, an elephant is like a great wall." The third felt its leg and insisted, "You're both wrong. An elephant is like a massive pillar." The fourth touched its ear and concluded, "An elephant is like a large fan or plate."

Each man spoke from his limited experience. While their observations weren't entirely wrong, none captured the complete reality of what an elephant truly is. They described dimensions and aspects, but missed the full picture. This is precisely what happens when we try to understand God through fragmented perspectives.

The Distorted Image of God

Many people say, "God is good," yet in the same breath, they blame Him for the evil that befalls them. They say God permits calamity in their lives, that He tests them with hardship, that He leads them through wilderness seasons of suffering. They make God the scapegoat for everything that goes wrong.

When we view God through incomplete revelation, we make Him responsible for both blessing and curse, healing and sickness, life and death.

To justify this distorted view, people point to Scripture as evidence. "Look at Job," they say. "Look at Joseph, thrown into a pit. See how much testing Job endured?" But this approach misses the complete revelation. What Job said, what Isaiah said, what any of the Old Testament prophets said does not represent the full dimension of who God is.

The Complete Revelation

This is why Scripture declares something revolutionary in John 1:18:

"No one has ever seen God, but God the One and Only, who is at the Father's side, has made Him known." - John 1:18

Didn't Moses see God? Didn't Abraham see God? Yes, they all saw God, but they saw only one dimension. That's why John writes so beautifully: No one has ever truly seen God. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has revealed Him.

Christ alone has fully revealed God. Jesus is the complete and perfect representation of the Father. Now, imagine if Christ were standing before you right now. Would He give you cancer? Would He afflict you with disease? Would He beat you or kick you? Absolutely not.

"He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed."

This is the true nature of God revealed in Jesus. He didn't go around making people sick; He went around healing everyone. He didn't oppress; He liberated.

Jesus Is God, God Is Jesus

This revelation about God is crucial for us to grasp. God is Jesus, and Jesus is God. Jesus perfectly reflects the Father in this world. Therefore, what you need to see is Jesus.

Jesus is not the one who leads you into temptation. He is the one who delivers you from temptation. He doesn't create trials; He transforms trials into triumphs. He doesn't author your suffering; He authors your salvation.

Freedom Through His Name

When you believe in the name of Jesus, you receive freedom from your sickness, freedom from your sin, freedom from your curse, freedom from your iniquities. Whatever deadly thing may be working against you, He gave His life so that you might live.

He is the God who gives life.

He is our Jesus, our Savior. He is God. Believe in Him. Experience victory in your life. Amen.

Conclusion

Stop viewing God through the fragmented lens of partial revelation. See Him as He truly is, fully revealed in Jesus Christ. The Jesus who walked this earth, healing the sick, raising the dead, and setting captives free is the exact representation of God's heart toward you. He is not the author of your pain but the healer of your wounds. He is not testing you with evil but transforming every test into a testimony. Embrace this truth today and walk in the freedom that comes from knowing God as He truly is.

Reflect on This

  1. In what ways have you been viewing God through a distorted or incomplete lens, perhaps blaming Him for difficulties that don't reflect His true nature?

  2. How would your faith and daily life change if you fully embraced the truth that Jesus is the complete revelation of God's character and heart toward you?

Prayer

Heavenly Father, I thank You for revealing Yourself fully through Jesus Christ. I declare that You are good, and Your nature is to heal, deliver, and give life. I reject every distorted image of You that has kept me in bondage. I receive the truth that Jesus is the exact representation of Your heart toward me. I am healed, I am free, I am blessed, and I am victorious because of who You are. You are my life-giving God, and I trust You completely. In Jesus' name, Amen.
