Welcome to a moment of spiritual renewal. Today, we explore how God transforms the barren places in our lives into spaces of abundance and growth. When we shift our focus from our limitations to His limitless power, we witness the impossible becoming possible through the Great I Am.
No Longer Self-Funded
Most of us instinctively approach challenges by assessing our own capabilities. We think, "What can I do? How can I fix this?" But this perspective keeps us trapped in our limitations.
I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. - Galatians 2:20
This powerful verse reveals a profound truth: when we accept Christ, our identity fundamentally changes. The old "I" with its limitations is crucified, and a new "I" emerges, one that depends completely on God. You're no longer self-funded but God-funded.
When you fully trust, rely on, and adore the Son of God, you'll witness the Great I Am working in your life. Just as Jesus declared "I Am" before His crucifixion and the soldiers fell back, and just as God told Moses to tell Pharaoh "I Am has sent me," we serve the Great I Am who transforms everything He touches.
Rivers in Barren Places
I will open rivers on the barren heights and springs in the midst of the valleys; I will make the wilderness a pool of water and the dry land springs of water. - Isaiah 41:18
Perhaps your life feels barren right now, relationships dried up, opportunities scarce, dreams withered. But the Great I Am declares He will open rivers in these desolate places. He will create fountains in your valleys of despair.
Can you visualize it? The transformation of a parched landscape into one flowing with fresh water? This imagery isn't just poetic, it's prophetic. God invites us to see with spiritual eyes what He is about to do.
Climate-Proof Growth
I will put the cedar in the wilderness, the acacia, the myrtle and the olive tree; I will place the juniper in the desert together with the box tree and the cypress. - Isaiah 41:19
In natural terms, these trees shouldn't thrive in desert conditions. Yet God promises to plant them there and make them flourish. Similarly, He will make you fruitful in circumstances where growth seems impossible. Your leaves won't wither; you'll become climate-proof, unaffected by the harsh conditions around you.
Why? Because the Great I Am is doing it. Your success doesn't depend on favorable circumstances but on the favor of God.
See, Know, Consider, Understand
What's our role in this divine transformation? The scripture gives us clear direction:
So that they may see and know, and consider and understand together, that the hand of the Lord has done this, that the Holy One of Israel has created it. - Isaiah 41:20
Our part is to:
See the promise
Know it's from God
Consider its implications
Understand that God alone accomplishes it
Don't focus on figuring out how God will fulfill His promises. Instead, focus on the Promise-Giver. He will make a way where there seems to be no way because He is Yahweh, the Way-Maker, the Miracle-Worker.
The Hand of the Lord
When God transforms your situation, people will recognize it wasn't your doing. They'll say, "I know you didn't have that qualification. I know you used to struggle. I know this shouldn't be possible for you, but someone greater has done this for you."
The hand of the Lord accomplishes what human hands cannot. You may have tried everything, your own efforts, connections, even medical interventions, but when God sets you free, you are free indeed. All symptoms, all negative reports will vanish, and you'll declare, "This was done by the hand of the Lord!"
Conclusion
Today, I encourage you to shift your focus from your limitations to God's limitless power. Stop being independent from God and start being dependent on God. When you do, you'll witness the Great I Am transforming barren heights into flowing rivers, wilderness into pools of water, and dry land into springs.
Nothing will be broken, nothing missing, nothing lacking in your life because the hand of the Lord is with you. The Great I Am is in action on your behalf.
Reflect on This
In what areas of your life are you still trying to be "self-funded" rather than "God-funded"?
How might your perspective change if you focused more on who God is rather than how He might solve your problems?
Prayer
Great I Am, I acknowledge that I am no longer living independently but completely dependent on You. I trust in Your power to transform every barren area of my life into rivers of abundance. I declare that Your hand is working in my health, my relationships, and my circumstances. I am rising up, complete in Christ, with nothing broken, nothing missing, nothing lacking. Thank You for making a way where there seems to be no way. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Key Takeaways
When we accept Christ, we shift from being self-funded to God-funded.
Focus on who God is (the Promise-Giver) rather than how He will fulfill His promises.
God specializes in creating abundance in barren places and growth in impossible conditions.
Our role is to see, know, consider, and understand what God is doing.
When God transforms your situation, even others will recognize it as His divine work.
