You Were Born to Rule, Not to Wander

Have you ever stopped to ask yourself a simple but staggering question: what is God's original plan? Not what religion says. Not what tradition handed down. But what did God actually intend when He created this world and placed you in it? That one question, when answered honestly from Scripture, has the power to completely change the way you see yourself, your life, and your purpose. Let us dive into that today.
God's Plan Was Never Small
God's original plan was not complicated. It was clear, it was bold, and it was grand. He wanted to establish His heavenly Kingdom right here on this visible earth. Think of it like a large company opening a new branch in a foreign country. Who do they send first? They send trusted people from the home base, people who carry the vision and values of the leadership, to set things up. In the same way, God created humanity to carry His Kingdom into this visible world. He chose to do it through us.
"Then God said, 'Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.'" Genesis 1:26
You were made in the image of the living God. You are not just a subject, you are a son. You are not just a creation, you are a citizen of Heaven. You are an ambassador of God's Kingdom placed on this earth.
"We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us." 2 Corinthians 5:20
Religion Searches, But Relationship Finds
Here is something worth pausing on. Every religion in the world is essentially a search. People climb mountains, perform rituals, travel great distances, all trying to find something they sense is missing. But do you know what that missing thing actually is? It is not God who went missing. It is us. Humanity walked away. And yet, instead of leaving us to wander, God came looking.
"For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost." Luke 19:10
That lost sheep did not find its way back. The shepherd went after it. That lost coin did not roll back to its owner. The woman lit a lamp and searched. Whatever you have lost, whether it is your health, your finances, your relationships, your dreams, or even years of your life, there is a God who seeks and restores. He is not limited by time or money. He is the God who gives back everything.
We are not talking about religion here. We are talking about a relationship. Not just being a Christian in name, but having a living, breathing connection with God Himself. You are not just a subject in His kingdom. You are a son. You are a daughter. You are royalty.
The Kingdom, the King, and His Children
The message of the entire Bible, from beginning to end, is not about religion. It is about the Kingdom of God. Think about what a kingdom means. A king plus a domain equals a kingdom. You cannot be a king without territory. Without a domain, there is no kingdom. God, as Creator of all things visible and invisible, rules over everything.
"For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities, all things were created through him and for him." Colossians 1:16
Satan's great problem is that he has no land title. He has no legitimate domain. He is like a trespasser who has been squatting in a property that does not belong to him. And wherever he has illegally taken up residence, whether in your body, your family, your finances, or your workplace, you have the authority in the name of Jesus to remove him. He is operating unlawfully. Your body is the temple of God. No disease, no weakness, no curse has the legal right to remain there.
You are not born to sin. You are born to win.
You Were Made to Rule, Not Struggle
God's purpose for you from the very beginning was to rule. That word in Genesis is not accidental. It is the core purpose statement over your life. But look at what has happened since the fall. Everything that was given to humanity to govern has now turned around and begun to govern humanity. Plants were placed under human authority, yet today substances derived from plants have enslaved millions. Everything that we were meant to manage has begun to manage us instead.
The purpose has not changed. You were created to govern, to lead, to manage, to have authority. You are not supposed to be ruled by fear, sickness, financial pressure, or self-doubt.
"The heavens are the Lord's heavens, but the earth he has given to the children of man." Psalm 115:16
This earth belongs to you. Not to the enemy. And the promise to Abraham confirms it.
"For the promise to Abraham and his offspring that he would be heir of the world did not come through the law but through the righteousness of faith." Romans 4:13
You are not here by accident. You are here by assignment. And God's assignment for you is not struggle. It is rulership.
The Weapon Satan Used Against You
When Satan came to Adam and Eve in the garden, he did not attack them with brute force. He used the most devastating weapon available: self-doubt. He whispered, "Are you really made in God's image? Are you really that? Eat this and then you will become like God." The tragic irony is that they were already made in God's likeness. They already bore His image. Satan planted one small seed of doubt about their identity, and the consequences shook all of creation.
"I said, 'You are gods, sons of the Most High, all of you.'" Psalm 82:6
Self-doubt is still Satan's greatest weapon today. When you do not know who you are, you cannot function in the authority that was designed for you. Declare it today: I am the son of the Most High. I am the daughter of the King who made heaven and earth. My Father is the King, and I am royalty.
Conclusion
God's plan from the very beginning was to establish His Kingdom on this earth through you. You were not created to wander in confusion, to be ruled by sickness or self-doubt, or to shrink back from the purpose written over your life. You are born of God. You are an ambassador of Heaven. You are born to rule.

Heavenly Father, I declare today that I am Your child, made in Your image and created for Your Kingdom. I receive the authority You have given me over every illegal work of the enemy in my body, my family, and my life. I am not born to be ruled by sickness, fear, or self-doubt. I am born to rule. I declare that every illegal presence of the enemy in my life is removed right now in the name of Jesus. I am Your temple, Your ambassador, and Your royal child. In Jesus' name. Amen.
