Woman on mustard sofa looks thoughtfully at a pregnancy test. She's wearing a white shirt and jeans. Pink pillow on the side.
By faith, we receive power to conceive our miracles, regardless of how impossible they seem.

Today, let's explore the divine power that enables us to receive our miracles. When circumstances seem impossible and the world says "no," God's power says "yes." This meditation invites you to rest in God's promises and receive the strength to conceive the very miracle you've been waiting for.

God's Promise of Rest

The enemy wants to keep us restless, anxious, and constantly striving in our own strength. But God has a different plan. In 2 Chronicles 20 we see how God gave Jehoshaphat rest all around. This wasn't just physical rest, it was complete peace in every area of his life.

"So the realm of Jehoshaphat was quiet, for his God gave him rest all around. Thus Jehoshaphat reigned over Judah. He was thirty-five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned twenty-five years in Jerusalem." - 2 Chronicles 20:30-31

From the very beginning, God designed us for rest. When He created the world, He gave mankind rest on the seventh day. Remarkably, the first day of human existence was a day of rest. This establishes a beautiful pattern, we begin with rest, not with striving.

God wants to give you rest while you're alive in this world. Not just the "rest in peace" that comes after death, but rest from all your problems, challenges, and difficulties right now. Rest from those haunting situations that seem impossible to overcome.

The Power to Conceive Miracles

Sarah's story in Hebrews reveals something extraordinary about faith and God's timing:

"By faith Sarah herself received power to conceive, even when she was past the age, since she considered him faithful who had promised." - Hebrews 11:11

Notice the phrase "Sarah herself received power to conceive." She had tried everything in her own strength, but now, by faith, she received divine power. At ninety years old, well past any natural possibility, she conceived because she considered God faithful.

"When God gives you the power, you will conceive your miracle, no matter how difficult it seems to the world."

The world may say your situation is impossible. Doctors, friends, even family members might declare it's too late. But when God gives you power, age becomes irrelevant, circumstances become secondary, and impossibilities become opportunities for miracles.

Considering Him Faithful

The key to Sarah's miracle wasn't her age, her circumstances, or her past failures. It was her focus: "she considered him faithful who had promised." When we shift our focus from our limitations to God's faithfulness, everything changes.

If the promise came from your spouse, they might fail. If it came from a friend or colleague, they could disappoint you. But the One who has promised you is faithful. He cannot lie, He cannot fail, and He will not abandon His word.

"Consider him faithful who has promised, the One who blessed you is faithful, the One who spoke over your children is faithful."

This morning, whatever promise you're waiting for, whatever miracle seems delayed, remember to consider Jesus faithful. When negative thoughts flood your mind, declare to the enemy: "I will consider my Jesus as faithful, He is the One who has promised me."

From Death to Abundant Life

The scripture tells us that from Abraham, "as good as dead," came descendants

"As many as the stars of heaven and as innumerable grains of sand by the seashore" - Hebrews 11:12.

What appeared completely finished became the source of an entire nation.

Your dream isn't dead. Your situation may present false evidence, but God specializes in bringing life from death. Just as Jesus died and rose again, the same Spirit that raised Him from the dead lives in you. When you understand this power within you, anything that appears dead can be resurrected.

The entire Trinity is working for your restoration. Jesus, the Good Shepherd, leaves the ninety-nine to find the one lost sheep. The Holy Spirit, like a diligent woman, searches until the lost coin is found. The Father waits with open arms, ready to embrace you with the best robe and ring.

Walking in Divine Rest

God is refining your focus this morning. He's helping you concentrate on His promises rather than your problems. Like Jehoshaphat, who "walked in the way of Asa his father and did not turn aside from it," you're called to stay focused on God's faithfulness.

Even if you try to turn away from His promises, God will redirect your attention back to His word. Every direction you look, you'll find reminders of His faithfulness. This is how God works—He surrounds you with His rest and fills your vision with His promises.

Conclusion

Today, step into the rest that God has prepared for you. Stop striving in your own strength and start resting in His promises. You are receiving the power to conceive your miracle right now. Consider Him faithful who has promised, knowing that what seems impossible to man is completely possible with God. The entire Trinity is working on your behalf, and you are surrounded by divine love and supernatural power.

Reflect on This

  1. In what areas of your life do you need to stop striving and start resting in God's promises?

  2. How can you practically "consider Him faithful" when circumstances seem to contradict His promises?

Prayer

Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your faithfulness and Your promises over my life. I declare that I am receiving the power to conceive my miracle today. I choose to rest in Your promises rather than struggle in my own strength. I consider You faithful, knowing that what You have spoken will come to pass. I receive Your rest all around me, rest from anxiety, rest from striving, and rest from doubt. Thank You that the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives in me. In Jesus' name, Amen.
