When God Lifts the Rejected
The story of Joseph reminds us of a powerful truth found in Psalm 118. God has a special way of taking what others have rejected and making it the cornerstone of His plan.
"The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; the Lord has done this, and it is marvelous in our eyes." - Psalm 118:22-23
When God lifts someone from rejection to recognition, from the pit to the palace, it becomes marvelous not only to our eyes but to the eyes of the world. People witness the transformation and can only say, "This is the Lord's doing, and it is wonderful to see."
Joseph's brothers couldn't even recognize him when they stood before him in Egypt. The same person they had thrown into a pit was now the prime minister of the most powerful nation on earth. This wasn't just promotion; this was divine elevation that left everyone amazed.
The Unimaginable Level of Blessing
When God decides to bless you, He doesn't just restore what you lost. He gives you more than you ever imagined possible. Joseph recognized his brothers immediately, but they couldn't recognize him because his position was beyond their wildest dreams.
"Although Joseph recognized his brothers, they did not recognize him." - Genesis 42:8
This is the level of blessing God wants to bring into your life. When He promotes you, when He opens doors for you, when He establishes you in your calling, it will be so remarkable that even those who knew you before will marvel at what God has done.
Your blessing will be unimaginable to others because God specializes in doing the impossible. He takes ordinary people and places them in extraordinary positions for His glory.
Dreams That Cannot Be Stopped
Joseph remembered the dreams God had given him years earlier. As he watched his brothers bow before him, he realized that every word God had spoken was coming to pass. The same brothers who had mocked his dreams were now fulfilling them without even knowing it.
"Then Joseph remembered his dreams about them and said to them, 'You are spies! You have come to see where our land is unprotected.'" - Genesis 42:9
Nothing could stop Joseph's dreams from manifesting. They threw him in a pit, but the dream survived. They sold him as a slave, but the dream continued. He was falsely accused and imprisoned, but the dream remained alive. Even when people forgot about him, God remembered His promises.
Whatever dreams God has planted in your heart, whatever promises He has spoken over your life, nothing can stop their fulfillment. No scheme of the enemy, no opposition from people, no difficult circumstances can prevent God's word from coming to pass.
"Nothing can stop the manifestation of God's word when He has spoken it over your life."
The Faithfulness of God
God's faithfulness is unchangeable and eternal. When He makes a promise, He keeps it. When He gives you a dream, He provides everything needed for its fulfillment. His faithfulness extends from generation to generation, and what He begins in your life, He will complete.
The enemy may try to discourage you by pointing to delays or obstacles, but remember that God's timing is perfect. Joseph waited years for his dreams to manifest, but when the time came, everything fell into place exactly as God had planned.
"He who promised is faithful, and His faithfulness is unchangeable forever."
A Testimony That Points to God
When God fulfills His promises in your life, your testimony becomes a beacon of hope for others. People will look at your life and recognize that there is a God who loves, protects, and promotes His children.
Your journey from where you started to where God takes you will be so remarkable that you yourself will be amazed. You'll find yourself saying, "What a wonderful God! Thus far the Lord has led me and my family."
Every time you remember how God protected you from the enemy's schemes, how He lifted you from one level to another, from glory to glory, from strength to strength, you'll be filled with gratitude and wonder at His amazing grace.
