When we enter His presence through praise and worship, something extraordinary happens, He sets divine ambushes against everything that comes against us. Prepare your heart to understand how God turns your enemies against each other while you rest securely in His shelter.
The Power of Praise in Battle
When King Jehoshaphat faced overwhelming enemies, he did something remarkable. Instead of strategizing military tactics, he appointed singers to go before the army, praising God for His steadfast love that endures forever.
"When he had consulted with the people, he appointed those who sang to the Lord and those who praised him in their holy attire as they went out before the army and said, 'Praise and give thanks to the Lord, for his mercy and loving kindness endure forever.'" - 2 Chronicles 20:21
The moment they began to sing and praise, God moved on their behalf. This wasn't coincidence, it was divine intervention triggered by worship. Every time you lift God's name, every time you give Him glory, something shifts in the spiritual realm. The atmosphere changes, circumstances bow to His presence, and healing flows.
God Sets the Ambush
Here's where the story becomes breathtaking. As soon as the praise began, God didn't just help, He took complete control of the battle.
"When they began singing and praising, the Lord set ambushes against the sons of Ammon, Moab and Mount Seir who had come against Judah, so they were struck down in defeat." - 2 Chronicles 20:22
Notice it says "when they began" not when they finished, but the moment they started praising. God immediately positioned Himself as their defender, setting strategic ambushes against their enemies.
Right now, as you meditate on God's word, as you trust in His promises, He is setting ambushes against every scheme of the enemy in your life. Against sickness, poverty, fear, and every plan designed to harm you or your family.
"God is setting an ambush against every problem that dares to come against you."
Enemies Destroy Each Other
The most remarkable part of this victory was how it unfolded. The enemies didn't just retreat, they turned on each other.
"For the sons of Ammon and Moab rose up against the inhabitants of Mount Seir, completely destroying them, and when they had finished with the inhabitants of Seir, they all helped to destroy one another." - 2 Chronicles 20:23
They all helped to destroy one another! While Jehoshaphat's army watched from a safe distance, their enemies eliminated each other completely. This is prophetic for your situation today, every problem you're facing will turn against itself and destroy each other, leaving you unharmed and victorious.
Just as the psalmist wrote, God prepares a feast before you in the presence of your enemies. You're not fighting; you're feasting while God handles your battles.
Secure in His Shelter
Your position as a believer is one of absolute security. You dwell in a place where no weapon formed against you can prosper.
"He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will remain secure and rest in the shadow of the Almighty." - Psalm 91:1
When you abide in God's presence, believing in what Jesus accomplished, knowing you're bought by His precious blood, understanding you have the spirit of love not fear, you're hidden in the strength of the Most High. You're in a secret place where nothing can touch you.
"No plague can come near your dwelling because God has set an ambush around your house."
There are spiritual landmines surrounding your family, your health, your future. Every time sickness tries to approach, every scheme of the enemy that attempts to infiltrate your life encounters God's ambush.
