Today, let's explore how God works to convince us so we can conceive the miracles He has promised. This isn't just about hoping for good things; it's about understanding how God partners with us to bring His promises into reality. Prepare to discover the journey from doubt to faith, and how you can receive the power to conceive your own miracle.
God's Convincing Process
The story of Abraham and Sarah reveals something profound about how God works. When God promised them a son in their old age, it seemed impossible. Sarah even laughed at the thought. But God didn't give up on them. He asked a powerful question:
"Is anything too difficult or too wonderful for the Lord? At the appointed time when the season for the delivery comes, I will return to you and Sarah will have a son." - Genesis 18:14
God was beginning His convincing process. He knew that for His miracle to manifest, Abraham and Sarah needed to move from doubt to faith, from impossibility thinking to miracle believing.
The Power to Conceive
Something beautiful happened after God's visitation. The New Testament tells us:
"By faith even Sarah herself received the ability to conceive a child even when she was long past the normal age for it, because she considered him who had given her the promise to be reliable and true to his word." - Hebrews 11:11
Notice the phrase "received the ability to conceive." Sarah didn't just get pregnant naturally; she received supernatural power to conceive. After God's visit, I believe Sarah began meditating on His words. She pondered the question: "Is anything too hard for the Lord?" As she did, faith began to rise in her heart.
God will convince you so that you can conceive your miracle, but you must choose to believe and work with Him.
From Doubt to Absolute Faith
The transformation in Abraham was remarkable. After witnessing God's faithfulness with Isaac's birth, Abraham reached a place of absolute trust. The Bible says he believed in:
"God who gives life to the dead and calls into being that which does not exist." - Romans 4:17
Abraham came to believe that even if God asked him to sacrifice Isaac, God could raise him from the dead. This wasn't based on any previous examples of resurrection; it was pure faith in God's ability. He became fully convinced that God had the power to do what He had promised.
Written for Our Sake
Here's the encouraging truth: this story wasn't recorded just to tell us about Abraham and Sarah. The Bible clearly states:
"Now not for his sake alone was it written that it was credited to him, but for our sake also, to whom righteousness will be credited as those who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead." - Romans 4:23-24
Their journey from doubt to faith was written for you and me. God wants to convince you just as He convinced them. He wants to give you the power to conceive your promises, your blessings, your miracles.
Your Partnership with God
God is looking for co-workers, people who will partner with Him to see His will accomplished on earth. Just as Sarah received the power to conceive, you can receive the power to conceive whatever God has promised you. Whether it's healing, provision, breakthrough, or restoration, God wants to convince you that He is able.
The key is being open to God's convincing process. Allow Him to speak to your heart. Meditate on His promises. Let His word build faith within you until you reach that place of being fully convinced that He is able to do what He has promised.
Conclusion
God transformed Abraham and Sarah from doubters into the father and mother of faith. He gave them titles of honor because they learned to trust Him completely. Today, God wants to give you that same title. He wants you to be known as a person of faith, someone who believes God can call things that don't exist into existence and give life to dead situations.
You have an even greater advantage than Abraham and Sarah because you live after Jesus' sacrifice. You have the Holy Spirit living within you. The entire Trinity is working for you and loves you beyond imagination. Nothing is impossible when you partner with God in faith.
Reflect on This
In what areas of your life do you need to allow God to convince you of His ability to work miracles?
How can you actively partner with God to conceive the promises He has given you?
Prayer
Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your faithfulness and Your desire to convince me of Your power. I declare that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all I can ask or think. I receive the power to conceive every promise You have spoken over my life. I am fully convinced that You have the power to do what You have promised. I partner with You in faith, believing that You can call things that don't exist into existence and give life to every dead situation in my life. In Jesus' name, Amen.
