You were created in God's image and likeness with a divine purpose to rule and have dominion.

Today, let's discover who you truly are in God's eyes. This isn't about what others say about you or even what you've told yourself. It's about understanding your divine identity as revealed in God's Word, the ultimate instruction manual for your life. Prepare to see yourself through Heaven's lens and step into the authority you were born to carry.

The Instruction Manual We Ignore

There's a beautiful story about a young man who desperately wanted a mobile phone. After waiting for so long, his father finally bought him one. The excitement was overwhelming! He tore open the packaging, saw the brand-new phone, and immediately started using it. But in his enthusiasm, he tossed aside the instruction manual, thinking he didn't need it.

Within two days, the phone stopped working. He had pressed buttons randomly, changed settings without understanding them, and now the device was stuck. When he called customer service, they asked the obvious question: "Did you read the instruction manual?" He admitted he hadn't, saying he just followed what his friends told him. The representative gently explained that while his friends might mean well, only the manufacturer truly knows how the phone was designed to work. That's why they provided the manual.

This simple story mirrors our lives. We often listen to voices around us, voices that tell us who we are and what we can become. But only our Maker truly knows our design and purpose.

Voices That Limit You

Many voices speak into your life daily. Some say you'll never amount to anything. Others declare you'll never succeed. Perhaps you've even spoken limiting words over yourself, agreeing with the negative narratives that surround you. But these voices are wrong.

Your thoughts must be anchored in God's Word, not in the opinions of others or the limitations of your past.

The truth about your identity isn't found in what people say or what circumstances suggest. It's found in what God declares over you. Just as that phone company knew exactly how their product should function, your Creator knows precisely who you are and what you're capable of.

The Manufacturer's Guide

We have a Manufacturer's Guide, a divine instruction manual that reveals our true identity. It's the Word of God. What God's Word says about you is who you truly are, regardless of what you feel, what you've experienced, or what others believe about you.

Genesis 1:26 provides the foundational truth of our identity:

"Then God said, 'Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.'" - Genesis 1:26

Notice the purpose embedded in your creation. You were made in God's image and likeness to rule, to have dominion, to exercise authority. This isn't arrogance; it's your divine design.

Born to Rule

You are born to rule. You are a believer destined for dominion. This is not a suggestion or a possibility, it's your identity. When you believe this truth, when you embrace what God says about you, your life transforms.

You are born to rule, created for dominion, designed to overcome this world.

Your identity is found in Jesus. In Him, you are victorious. In Him, you are more than a conqueror. The limitations others have placed on you, the boxes you've been put in, the ceilings you've been told exist, none of these define you. God's Word defines you.

Living Your True Identity

When you believe in the name of Jesus, when you place your faith in Him, you step into your true identity. You're no longer defined by failure, weakness, or past mistakes. You're defined by whose you are and what He says about you.

The world needs believers who know who they are. The world needs Christians who walk in the authority given to them, who refuse to be limited by circumstances, who declare God's truth over every situation. That's you. That's who you were created to be.

Conclusion

Today, choose to believe what your Manufacturer says about you. You are created in God's image and likeness. You are born to rule, destined to overcome, designed for victory. Don't let the voices of this world drown out the voice of your Creator. Read His Word, believe His promises, and walk in the authority He has given you. In Jesus' name, you are victorious.

Reflect on This

  1. What voices have you been listening to that contradict what God says about you in His Word?

  2. How would your daily life change if you truly believed you were created to rule and have dominion?

Prayer

Heavenly Father, I thank You for creating me in Your image and likeness. I declare that I am born to rule, created for dominion, and destined for victory. I reject every limiting voice and embrace what Your Word says about me. I am not defined by my past, my circumstances, or the opinions of others. I am defined by You. In Jesus' name, I walk in the authority You have given me. I am victorious, I am an overcomer, and I am born to rule this world through Christ. In Jesus' name, Amen.
