The righteous are as bold as a lion, and your identity in Christ gives you confidence that isn't based on your abilities.

Today, let's explore what it means to live with the boldness and confidence that comes from knowing who you are in Christ. This isn't about arrogance or self-reliance. It's about understanding your true identity as a child of God and walking in the authority that comes with it. Get ready to see yourself through God's eyes and step into the life He has called you to live.

The Lion's Mindset

The lion doesn't question its strength. It doesn't compare itself to others or wait for validation. The lion simply is what it was created to be: bold, confident, and unshakeable. Scripture tells us that the righteous are as bold as a lion, and that's the identity God has given you.

You don't need to be the biggest in the room. You don't need to be the smartest or the most talented. As long as you believe that you are born of God, you will be the smartest. You will be more than a conqueror. You will be an overcomer. But if your identity isn't rooted in this truth, if you don't see yourself as the lion God created you to be, you'll live like a slave instead of royalty.

"The righteous are as bold as a lion." - Proverbs 28:1

This is your calling. This is your inheritance. Believe that Christ has a great plan for you. Believe that you are a child of God. When you deny this truth, you deny His power working in and through you.

The Power of What You Believe

Sometimes life looks powerless, but that's often based on what you believe. What you believe shapes how you live. It determines whether you walk in holiness, righteousness, and boldness, or whether you shrink back in fear and doubt.

Take a moment right now and declare: "I believe in Jesus. I believe that He died for me. I believe that He rose from the dead. That means I am born of God. That means I am the righteousness of God. That means I am the lion."

Your beliefs aren't just thoughts floating in your mind. They're the foundation upon which your entire life is built. When you believe God's Word about who you are, everything changes.

Entering Into Rest

The rest of the Christian life isn't about striving or working harder. It's about trusting in God, knowing that you don't need to do anything on your own. The Bible actually calls it disobedience when you don't enter into rest. When you refuse to calm down, when you don't believe in God's ability, when anxiety grips your heart, you're essentially saying you don't trust Him.

"When you don't believe in God's ability, you fall into disobedience."

This might sound harsh, but it's liberating when you understand it. God’s not asking you fight everything on your own or carry every burden. He's inviting you to rest in His finished work, to trust in His ability rather than your own.

You can say with confidence: "I am healed. I am blessed. I have all the things that I need because I have Jesus." This isn't wishful thinking. This is faith speaking the truth of God's Word over your life.

Acting Like Who You Are

When you act like the son or daughter of the living God, you will receive like Jesus received. Think about this profound truth: the Son of God became the son of man so that the sons and daughters of humanity could become children of God.

Jesus is your cornerstone. You are a joint heir with Him. You're in partnership with Him, a divine business arrangement where He is the working partner and you are the resting partner. He does the heavy lifting while you trust and believe.

Being humble doesn't mean thinking less of yourself. True humility means believing in the Word of God, not seeing through the eyes of the world but seeing through the eyes of the Word. It means knowing that you have the covenant, that you have access to all of God's promises and power.

Your Seated Position

Today, you can boldly say that you are able to overcome. You can overcome your sickness. You can overcome your problems. You can overcome any situation you're facing. Why? Because you know that you are seated in the heavenly places along with Jesus Christ.

"And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus." - Ephesians 2:6

This isn't a future promise. This is your present reality. Right now, at this very moment, you are seated with Christ, far above every problem, every sickness, every limitation. When you see yourself from this perspective, everything that once seemed impossible becomes possible.

Conclusion

Today, embrace your identity as a lion, bold and confident in Christ. Let go of the slave mentality and step into the royal position God has given you. Believe His Word about who you are, enter into His rest, and watch as His power transforms every area of your life. You are not powerless. You are not defeated. You are seated with Christ in heavenly places, and from that position, you are more than a conqueror.

Reflect on This

  1. What areas of your life are you still living with a slave mentality instead of embracing your identity as a child of God?

  2. How can you practically enter into God's rest today instead of striving in your own strength?

Prayer

Heavenly Father, I thank You that I am born of God and righteous as a lion. I declare that I am seated with Christ in heavenly places, far above every problem and limitation. I choose to rest in Your ability rather than strive in my own strength. I believe Your Word about who I am, and I receive all the blessings, healing, and provision that come with being Your child. I am bold, I am confident, and I am victorious because of Jesus. In His mighty name, Amen.
